FAMILY BASED IMMIGRATION
We help citizens and permanent residents obtain permanent resident status for foreign-born spouses and other family members. We also provide assistance for removal of conditions of residency and permanent resident status renewal.

FIANCÉ VISAS
WAIVERS OF INADMISSIBILITY
You may be eligible for immigration benefits if you entered the U.S. without permission or have violated U.S. law since arriving. In some cases you may be eligible for a waiver. We have deep experience in this area and have prepared and filed many such applications with immigration services in the U.S. and U.S. Embassies overseas.
HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE
We represent individuals in humanitarian applications:
• Asylum for those who fear persecution in their home country
• Domestic violence victims
• Crime victims
• Human trafficking victims
DEPORTATION DEFENSE
We aggressively defend against the removal [deportation] of foreign-born individuals in the U.S. Immigration Courts and we work with state court criminal defense attorneys when their foreign-born clients have been charged with a crime.
EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION FOR DREAMERS
As of June 15, 2012, certain young people brought to the U.S. as children are eligible to request Deferred Action for Child Arrivals (DACA). We can help file a request for DACA with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
INVESTOR VISAS
We represent foreign nationals who have invested or seek to legally invest in the ownership of American franchise companies.

Our offices have been located in Asheville, NC since October of 2004. Mr. Hill has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association since February 2005.

Our People
Robb D. Hill, Attorney
Robb Hill earned his Undergraduate B.A. Degree at UNCA Asheville in 1997 and went on to Law school at the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University, earning his J.D. in 2003. In 2004 he formed Robb Hill, Attorney At Law, PLLC in Asheville, North Carolina, which focuses exclusively on U.S. Immigration and Nationality Law. Mr. Hill is and has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyer’s Association since 2005. When he’s not fighting for immigrant rights he enjoys fly-fishing, hiking and exploring the natural treasures the Western North Carolina Mountains.
Kirti Shastri
Firm Manager • Senior Paralegal
Kirti A. Shastri earned her B.A. in Political Science at UNC – Chapel Hill. Her awards and certifications include UNC Chapel Hill NC Fellow and Order of Golden Fleece. She was raised in Asheville and joined Robb Hill Attorney at Law PLLC in 2006. Prior, Ms. Shastri helped improve the lives of people as a staff member and on the board of directors of several national non-profits and public relations firms advocating higher education access, university recruitment and retention of students of color, literacy education and environmental policy. When not hard at work, Ms. Shastri loves literature, film and fun fiction, walking and hiking, and gourmet cooking.
Paige Franklin
Paralegal
Paige L. Franklin, an Asheville native, graduated with a B.A. in International Relations and Spanish from the University of North Carolina – Greensboro. Fluent in numerous languages, including Spanish, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish and, yes, English, Ms. Franklin is an Advocate and Ally for Immigrant Rights and Social Justice. She’s currently an Executive Board Member of ALAS (Asheville Latin Americans Achieving Success), a Latino led non-profit organization that develops Latino leadership in WNC. Ms. Franklin’s hobbies include travel, technology, music fanaticism and dance (salsa, bachata, cumbia, merengue).
Jeff Theriault
Legal Assistant
Jeff Theriault boasts a B.A. in Psychology from East Carolina University. After moving at a young age from the north, Mr. Theriault is proud to have been raised in the southern U.S., from the coast to the mountains, where he developed an interest in playing volleyball and tennis. But his true love is the mountains, where he spends endless hours exploring. And after a good day of hiking Jeff searches out and enjoys the wonderful selection of craft breweries here in western North Carolina.
Xitlali Arellano
Legal Assistant/Receptionist
Xitlali Arellano likes to go by Lali. She grew up in Buncombe County and to this day still enjoys the mountains. Lali is a proud DACA recipient and caring mother who utilizes her bilingual and cultural skills to help out others and make positive progress in her community. Her favorite activity is spending time with her daughter and her family. Lali looks forward to continuing to use her special skills to help make the Robb Hill law firm the best it can be for everyone.
